I really like what Rockstar did in this department. But what really makes his movement special to me is that its animation based, yet it feels sooooo smooth. Max Payne 3 is a third person shooter video game with interesting.
For me, it helps sell Max as this heavy, old, beat up cop that has long outlived his prime and is barely able to still do the maneuvers he did when he was younger. There are several levels and areas that allow you to have extended air dodges such as the stadium where there are lots of areas of elevation you can take advantage of. The way it works is the longer Max is in the air the longer your bullet time. There's actually quite a few levels that compliment the dodge jump. Can you elaborate?
